One Early Bird parker at The Strand car park in Melbourne this morning received a very special Valentine’s Day surprise – a marriage proposal delivered through Secure Parking signage!
Rob, knowing that his girlfriend Jenny parked daily at The Strand car park, organised the special message to be displayed as she entered the car park this morning.

Jenny spotted the message as she drove in, and as she approached the boomgates, found her partner Rob waiting for her arrival with a bunch of flowers and engagement ring. And what did she say? Yes – of course!

Valentines looking to use the cost of parking as a reason not to take their loved one for a romantic night out in the City on Tuesday will have to come up with another excuse following a decision by Secure Parking to provide FREE parking across a number of car parks in the city.
The FREE parking offer will be available on Valentines Day between 6PM and midnight across thousands of bays close to Melbourne and Sydney’s premiere dining hot spots.
“With this extraordinary gesture, Valentines can have their roses and eat their romantic dinner too,” Secure Parking’s Corporate Marketing Manager, Andrew Sapir said. “This is the first time such an extraordinary offer has been available in the heart of the City and will ensure that our restaurants are over-flowing with lovers looking lovingly!”
